Well this is the true face of the political people roping in news channels. The actual news never ever reaches to the common man. In the movie, Purab Shastri is not roped in and is eventually made the CEO of India News 24/7 when Vijay Malik comes to know that his own son is involved in making the CD made the CEO of the news channel can only be possible if people like Vijay Malik exists. But in India, more than anything we all learn one thing that money is the biggest friend. Using it we can buy news, create communal riots, begging votes and then doing none of the promised deeds. Just filling up one’s pocket. In most of the cases, all the educated people just don’t watch the News channel. The reason is the main news is always hidden. In this sense many people trust the newspapers more than the news channels. So many a times people read the new online too directly from the newpapers’ website.
The works of all the major artists is very well cinematographed. Actually the reason why such a movie has gone a flop show is that, that we Indians do not want to accept the reality. And even accepting the reality is not the solution until and unless there are people like Vijay Malik and Purab Shastris being given encouragement. In the real world that Purab Shastri never ever reaches the Vijay Mallik because he is either boycotted, tortured and make him stand against his own family.
Now the common man is so much immune to all such kinds of movies because even if he knows that there is a foul smell coming out of a particular pipeline, he will not repair. The reason being that the pipeline itself is coming from dirty water so no use repairing at his end. Yes but if that muddy dirty water is made clean and usable then there will not be any problem of pipeline giving a foul smell. But now the question arises that how many of us, would want to step into that dirty water resource from where we get water for our daily purposes?? No one enters such waters. Because there are systems in it that has quicksand like properties.
There was a film, released a few years back by Madhur Bhandarkar showing the actual world of the print media journalism. Well the movie is harder than this one because in the end Konkana Sen Sharma is forced to take up that branch of News Media from which she found out that what the elite people do behind the face of the party and that had cost her job. Then in the end she changed her point of view to look at elite people. That’s the sad messege of the movie. That filth in our society is deep that good journalist like her, have to change their point of view in order to earn their bread. What could be more shameful than this?
